Once you’re qualified you are not tied in with us. We do provide a franchise option but it is your choice – there is no “extra” cost. Driving Instructor Training in Eastbourne now available.
You choose which “Training Day” to take for Part 2 or 3
- No experience
- Some experience – perhaps needing to gain a better understanding, improve confidence and remove the fuzz.
- Close to test – looking for a higher standard, second opinion, and realist mock test scenarios
- Taken a test, or two and needing something “more” to gain that elusive pass!
Quality v Quantity
Our belief at Driving Innovation is that, more training hours and more information do not generally give you a better chance of passing. We’ve seen this repeatedly over the years, with PDI’s turning up with vast libraries on the back seat of their training vehicles. Many having spent a huge amount of hours training and studying – in some cases, years! We’ve also observed, that in recent years driving instructor training establishments have started to try and out compete with each other in the amount of hours offered.
Certainly, time has to be put in, however, if the time spent is on low quality training or you are left to train yourself online don’t be surprised why the national pass-rate is so low. Quality, focused and customised training is the key. More of this will inevitably result in lower training costs for the customer and with vastly improved chances of success.

Q. How many hours driving instructor training will I need to pass my ADI exams?
A. Probably, almost certainly, less than you are being sold.
Based on thousands of training hours, we believe that increasing your number of study hours does not necessarily increase your practical skills, or improve your chances of passing! It is generally considered within the industry that 15 hours training time is about the norm for preparing for the ADI Part 2 exam and around 40 to 60 hours for the ADI Part 3 exam.
What if, you only needed 80%, 50% or 30% of the study or training hours being sold to you? The key to your success is in “how you learn” rather than “how much you attempt to learn” A second key element in “how you can learn quickly” is whether you are receiving direct practical instruction “in-situ” or “in-car” by a good trainer or preferably excellent trainer. Not left to wander off track through remote self teaching modules. Have you ever “felt” the car not slowing down online or “felt” the danger online?
Trainees need to cut through the noise out there [sales and padding] – most of it you simply don’t need. Training AND passing part 3 really can be so much easier than many ADI trainers will have you believe. You just need to get in the car and stay training in-car. In fact, most ADI Trainers surprisingly believe passing part 3 is really difficult. Nothing like instilling confidence then! With so much inconsistent, incorrect or misinformation on the internet, either in video, audio or blog posts, it’s easy to see how trainees frequently become overwhelmed, anxious and confused, particularly with preparing for the part 3 exam. Our goals are to get you qualified and in control as quickly as possible – saving you time, money and stress!!
With our highly focused training you are unlikely to need the amount of hours often quoted by many driving instructor training establishments. The training is customised, easy to follow and incorporates key learnings from ten’s of thousands of training hours. We know how to do this quickly and in an uncomplicated manner. We believe we can build your confidence, understanding and instructional skills – fast. Resulting in fewer training hours required for you to pass.
Why not sample one of our shorter 2 hour sessions and experience the training first-hand. Or, get the ball rolling immediately and book a 1 Day Training Unit. Simply use the contact form we’ll be delighted to hear from you.
How will our intensive driving instructor training course in Leicester work?
We have clients who train with us from all parts of the UK. So, to accommodate everyone we offer some more intensive driving instructor training modules. Of course, if you’re local to us you can still use this format
1 Day Intensive for ADI Part 2 [7 hours on-road training ]
5 Day Intensive Accelerated Learning Course for ADI Part 3 [30 hours on-road practical training – please get in touch via the contact form ]
We can be flexible with these formats so please call to discuss any specific requirements. 1/2 day training sessions can work best if you’re more local such as Loughborough, Coventry, Kettering, Stamford, Peterborough, Nottingham, Derby, Northampton, and from 2018, driving instructor training in Eastbourne.
In short, we don’t compromise on the quality of our training. Although we have clients who come from all parts of the UK to train with us – we do not have a national coverage, which we see as an advantage. With national or even regional coverage there is almost certainly a drop in quality of training. It’s virtually impossible for the larger driving instructor training establishments to scale up successfully without significantly diluting the quality of training and service. Can you afford that risk?
We operate as a small, high quality, highly experienced team committed to getting clients qualified in their new career. We then provide additional support post qualification to ensure your business success. Our charges are very competitive and over 30 years our innovative methods have lead to an extremely high pass rate. To sample our adi training in Leicester just get in touch using the contact form – we will be pleased to hear from you and answer any questions you might have.
- We offer you ongoing support – placement, franchise or setting up by yourself
On qualification you are not tied in – you can set up by yourself or we can put you in touch with some professional local driving schools who are more than happy to offer a franchise agreement to newly qualified ADI’s who have trained with us. This works best if you’re more local such as Loughborough, Coventry, Kettering, Stamford, Peterborough, Nottingham, Derby, Northampton, and Eastbourne
