ADI Training - extra
info
Just a few more points
to consider...
You
will need to have good eyesight (with or without
glasses). The exact requirement is to be able to read
a number plate at 90 feet (in good daylight!). Test
yourself - pace out about 45 paving
slabs!
As with any new skills you
are learning, regular practice in your own
car will ensure the new techniques stay with
you.
ADI Part 1 - The theory test is made up of two parts; the
multiple choice part and the hazard perception part.
The multiple choice part is delivered using a touch
screen computer and mouse and the hazard perception
part records your responses through the use of a
computer mouse button. You need to pass both parts
to pass the theory test. If you pass one part and
fail the other you will fail the whole test, and you
will need to take both parts again.
4 months is just about the
quickest anybody can qualify. Many people prefer
to spread their ADI training over 12 months. Others
use the full 2 years allowed by the DSA for
qualification.
Remember, NO ADI training company
can
guarantee you a pass.
Qualified driving instructors on
average earn between £22K and £30K p.a.
